This website is built using Hugo and hosted on Cloudflare Pages. It is designed to minimize data collection. This policy outlines the limited data processing that occurs automatically to ensure security and functionality.
1. Data Collection and IP Addresses #
This site does not voluntarily collect any personal data (e.g., no contact forms, comments, or user accounts).
However, as part of its global content delivery and security network, Cloudflare automatically processes certain technical data to protect the site from malicious traffic (e.g., DDoS attacks) and ensure content delivery.
- IP Addresses: Cloudflare temporarily processes visitor IP addresses as part of standard HTTP request logs.
- Logging Status: By default, Cloudflare does not retain these HTTP request logs for the site owner unless explicitly enabled via the Logpull API. For this portfolio, log retention is disabled.
- Retention Period: Any transient logs held by Cloudflare for security operations are typically deleted within 24 hours (consistent with Cloudflare’s standard operational practices for non-retained traffic data).
2. Cookies #
This website uses only strictly necessary cookies provided by Cloudflare. These cookies are essential for security, bot mitigation, and load balancing. They do not track user behavior across other sites.

The limited data processed (IP addresses and cookies) is used solely for:
- Security: Protecting the site from malicious attacks and automated abuse.
- Functionality: Ensuring the website loads correctly and efficiently.
- Network Optimization: Routing traffic through the nearest Cloudflare data center.
4. Data Sharing #
No personal data is sold, rented, or shared with third parties. Cloudflare acts only as a data processor to provide the CDN and security services.
5. Your Rights #
Under regulations like the GDPR (if you are in the EU) or CalOPPA (if you are in California), you have the right to know what data is collected. Since this site does not store logs or personal profiles, there is no data available for access or deletion requests beyond the transient security logs held by Cloudflare.
